The item comes up very small. I purchased a 6-7 years according to the website. When it arrived it just had '6 years' written on the label and we could barely get it on my 5 year old. We've had to buy and age 8, and this still requires tugging to get it over his head. Though the item is 2 sizes bigger than what he'd normally wear, you wouldn't be able to tell by looking. Definitely size up!
