It appears turning the jeans this colour shrinks them dramatically. I purchased 3 pairs of jeans in the same size, 2 in relaxed fit. The first pair fit great and are now at home hung up. This pair were significantly smaller, to the point that I Nalini it get them done up without a serious diet or surgery. (The first pair were a little loose and required a belt). Not unexpected as JuzsportsShops waist sizes must have the most relaxed of tolerances when made.
