Tell us about the name, about the brand, and what makes CB Made in Italy different?
CB Made in Italy stands for the initials of the company founder Cecilia Bringheli, who founded the brand 13 years ago and relaunched it with Sibilla de Vuono. The two wanted to create a range of simple yet sophisticated products embracing all those images of the classic dolcevita as well the dynamism of their Italian childhood.
The brand’s combination of Mediterranean joyful spontaneity and Milanese humble refinement makes the brand appealing for an international audience, looking for high-end quality and personal distinctive style.

CB Made in Italy focuses on gender-neutral designs—primarily flats and boots (no pumps, no strappy sandals). What was the rationale behind that decision?
We are aiming to create a product for a conscious and dynamic consumer. We concentrate on style without having to compromise comfort and dynamism. We aim to create a shoe that’s perfectly applicable to any attire and situation, any age, any style.
Is it easier or harder to design gender-neutral pieces? Do you think gender-neutral is the future of fashion?
We don’t necessarily think is the future of fashion but it represents our everyday, it can be difficult sometimes to have appealing flats for women wear and this is where we take our bet.
What’s the quintessential piece or pieces from CB Made in Italy? What’s the brand’s signature aesthetic?
Our objective is to have a very narrow selection, each piece we decide to keep is for us an essential, a timeless. We don’t believe in collections. Deciding not to inject more products in the market, working on creating desire to own more doesn’t go along with our real engagement on sustainability.

Sibilla and I are both Italians, we decided to make a brand representing our upbringing and our approach to life, we know every single artisan by name, each of them is for us an artist working on a commune project; that being a shoe, a belt or any other item. In our work there is a sense of community and shared values which could be difficult for us to find elsewhere.
What is next for the CB Made in Italy line?
We aim to have timeless products, transcending fashion and seasonal trends, however given the new joint venture with Sibilla this year we are coming out with 5 new woman styles, representing us both fully. Always designed with passion and crafted with love.
