A collaboration between adidas and Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto, Y-3 bridges the gap between sportswear and high-fashion with it's cutting edge silhouettes and high-quality materials. The first Y-3 release came in 2002 and the partnership has been going strong ever since.

Being such a long-standing collab, this partnership was incredible to see. Before adidas stellasport iran a good world tour time or Louis Vuitton x Supreme, back in 2002 high-fashion and sportswear were world's apart. Yamamoto noticed his clothing was not being worn on the streets and approached adidas after noticing their popularity in Japan.

Producing more accessible trainers and garments, adidas' Y-3 became a new entry point for younger people into the world of high-fashion. Although Yamamoto's own designs may be too bold for people to wear vrio, with Y-3 he strikes a perfect balance between fashion, sportswear and wearability.
